Jessica Lopez is a Digital Accessibility and Marketing Consultant at the Center for Disability Inclusion (CDI). She joined CDI in 2023 and brings her expertise in digital marketing and policy work to her role, where she leads CDI’s social media strategy and supports its training and consulting initiatives. Born without hands and feet, Jessica’s lived experience as a disabled woman informs her advocacy for more accessible education systems and workplaces.

Her professional background spans B2B tech, EdTech, and public institutions. Most recently, she worked at Amazon, supporting employer branding and recruiting initiatives focused on disability inclusion and global talent strategy. Previously, she has held roles with the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP) and Diversability.

Across California, Jessica has held senior student leadership roles, including serving as President of Student Government and in state- and district-level positions. During her presidency, she authored a statewide resolution on disability inclusion that was adopted across the California Community Colleges system, expanding disability visibility and curriculum impact for two million students.

Building on this policy work, she led a year-long study funded by the Robert and Ethel Kennedy Center for Human Rights, producing the Anti-Ableism in Higher Education report. Distributed to more than 1,000 individuals and shared with over 300 institutions globally, the report garnered her invitations to keynote at Columbia University and the University of Pennsylvania.

As an Obama-Chesky Voyager Scholar, Jessica received $50,000 in scholarship funding for school and $30,000 in travel stipends to pursue public service. As an honors student, she utilized this support to defend a thesis examining the business case for accessible travel. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and graduated magna cum laude. Her advocacy and professional work have been featured in Fox and Verywell.
